Recommended for the vaccination of healthy horses as an aid in the prevention of viremia due to West Nile Virus (WNV). Stimulates a rapid, comprehensive immune response with recombinant DNA technology that provides early protection (within 26 days) after vaccination. This technology carries only the WNV genetic material responsible for stimulating protective immune response and delivers that material to the host cell, mimicking natural infection. It takes advantage of the horse's entire immune system (cellular and humoral) for fast onset of immunity. Safety and immunogenicity are proven by natural, not artificial, challenge (exposure to live mosquitoes infected with WNV) to provide protection against West Nile Virus throughout the mosquito season. Contains live canarypox vector, which does not replicate in mammals, eliminating the risk of viral shedding or reversion to virulence. Provides active immunity in naïve horses. Vaccines the same way the veterinarians get them... We carefully pack your vaccines with frozen cool packs to preserve their effectiveness. If your cool pack is melted when you receive it, don't be alarmed, this is normal. Refrigerate vaccines immediately upon receipt.
